Emirates College of Technology (ECT), one of UAE’s oldest and most prestigious universities accredited for quality higher education, has transferred to its new campus located in the heart of Abu Dhabi as its student population continues to grow. ECT’s new state-of-the-art campus is located in the heart of the capital at Al Najada street, adjacent to DED; accommodating more students and new areas for academic and co-curricular activities.
The new campus accommodates 5000 students and features a premium infrastructure and benefits that match the very highest of international standards while retaining ECT’s outstanding heritage. Students are now offered new courses and programs that have been accredited from international organizations, specifically designed to deliver an education and curriculum which takes into consideration the skills, literacies and capabilities required for jobs in the future; equipping students to become leaders in their chosen fields.
Professor Abdul Rahim Sabouni, President and CEO of ECT, said: “Our new campus, located just a short distance from our previous location, features additional spaces for learning and activities. The move is not only aimed at addressing our increasing popularity, but is meant to continue our long-standing tradition in delivering the best-in-class education system to all our students in line with the Ministry of Higher Education’s vision of a globally competitive and knowledge-based economy. While we felt a bit nostalgic leaving our previous campus which served as our home for 25 years, we have to move forward as our community steadily expands and make changes that will propel us into a leading position at both regional and global levels. As we start this new chapter, we hope that our new campus will be a witness to the continuous learning and growth of this country’s brightest minds, who are set to become our future leaders.”
