A team of female students from Zayed University, were named "One Young World" ambassadors, following their representation of the UAE Delegation at the OYW Summit.
Held in London, between October 23-25, the team joined the summit alongside the most successful young talents from various sectors from 190 countries. They will be joining a network of more than 10,000 global members and shall work together or individually to make a difference in their communities and nations, by accelerating and developing existing initiatives or launching new ones to make a difference and face global challenges.
Dr. Abeer Al Rasbi, Director of the Student Leadership Department said that the students will work with many bright minds to tackle various issues concerning human rights, sustainable energy, environment, health, education, and economy.
“The participation not only provided them with opportunities to connect and interact with participants from diverse backgrounds and cultures it also enhances their knowledge and experience in dealing with various scenarios and global challenges," Al Rasbi said.
The ‘One Young World’ summit, which was launched back in 2010, was aimed at mobilizing bright young minds in one place to share ideas and work towards practical solutions to the world's most persistent topics.
