Enhancing fair trade practices important for economic opportunities in developing countries

Minister of Finance, Mohammed Al-Jadaan, said that enhancing fair trade practices is important for increasing economic opportunities in developing countries. He also emphasized the need to continue implementing the common framework for debt treatment.

In the first G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors meeting, it was clarified that addressing debt-related vulnerabilities in low-income countries cannot be achieved without enhancing multi-stakeholder cooperation, including creditors, borrowers, international financial institutions, and the private sector, the SPA reported.

Al-Jadaan affirmed that borrowing countries should enhance transparency in debt management while implementing the necessary structural reforms.
