New service station in Al Reef community in the UAE capital to offer residents easy access to fuel as well as automotive and retail services
ENOC Group, a leading integrated global energy player, today announced the opening of its new fuel service station at Al Reef, a popular community in Abu Dhabi. Delivering on the Group’s continued commitment to strengthening the UAE’s retail infrastructure, the station provides convenient access to quality fuels for residential communities across the UAE as a part of its expansion plans to bring the number of service stations in the UAE to 184.
ENOC is accelerating efforts to ensure that residential communities in the UAE have easy access to fuel, as well as automotive and retail services. Over the years, the Group has opened several service stations in residential communities, including Arabian Ranches, Discovery Gardens, and Dubai International City, reaffirming its commitment to meeting the fuelling needs of residents and motorists in the country.
Spread over a million square metres, Al Reef is one of the first fully integrated residential communities in Abu Dhabi and is designed to house 16,000 residents at its two sub-communities, namely Al Reef Villas and Al Reef Downtown.
His Excellency Saif Humaid Al Falasi, Group CEO at ENOC said: “As we continue to expand our retail footprint in the country, we are committed to meeting the growing demand of our customers and fulfilling the energy requirements of residents and visitors across the nation. Strengthening our retail infrastructure brings us one step closer to providing residential communities across the UAE easier access to high levels of customer service at our forecourts, quality fuels, and a choice of retail offerings. Furthermore, the new station fulfils a substantial need for refuelling facilities in the area where Al Reef is located.”
The service station in Al Reef spans across 87,255 square feet and has three new generation fuel dispensers, each with a retractable hose that can refuel cars with fuel tanks on both sides. The fuel system is designed to have a safe flow rate as per NFPA standards to reduce refuelling time.
In line with ENOC’s commitment to sustainable practices, the fuel system in the new service station is fully automated with auto tank gauging and electronic leak detection system. All lighting and illumination fixtures are fitted with energy-efficient LED lighting that reduces energy consumption by 50 percent and has a 50,000-hour lifespan and low voltage that offers protection against electrical and fire hazards. This also helps to decrease the carbon footprint for the Group’s operations.
Adhering to global best practices for the retail fuel industry, the service station features full retail automation and fulfils all standards of modern construction. It is equipped with CCTV surveillance and automatic number plate detection cameras to ensure the highest levels of security. Motorists can also avail of a range of comprehensive facilities such as a convenience store, and car wash facilities including one automatic, two manual car wash.
