‘Excellence Award’ in water sector launched in Saudi Arabia

The first water exhibition held recently at the InterContinental Hotel in Riyadh concluded with a number of researches and recommendations presented during the workshops which were attended by a number of academics, specialists and researchers in the water sector related to the latest techniques in water extraction, recycling and all related to water industries as well as water safety and their quality to the consumer. The exhibition visited by more than 1000 visitors to view the latest water technologies and visit the booths of the exhibitors and meet with people who are interested in this field and government authorities and the private companies during its three days.


In addition, three companies won four awards, which were launched during the exhibition under the supervision of the Food and Nutrition Society at King Saud University.


The Saudi Award for excellence in the water sector for quality as well as the award of excellence in the water sector for the methods of safety was shared by the Arab company for modern industries Dala Water Factory and the third award for excellence in the water sector for marketing and consumer service was for Aljamee Factory (Aquavina water) and the fourth award for excellence in the water sector to serve the community for Tania Bottled Water Co. Ltd.


The exhibition's general supervisor Dr. Hossam Abu Sabra said the exhibition has received great attention from the concerned authorities, headed by the Government of Riyadh, represented by Prince Faisal bin Bandar, Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, government bodies and private sector companies. The launch of the award for excellence in the water sector for the first time in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which has also received great attention by the Food and Nutrition Association and King Saud University and a number of scientists and interested in this sector is important to human life and living on this planet.
