Denis Sorin, the President of Hospitality Operations at Dur Hospitality in an exclusive interview with IXG shares the spiritual formula of Makarem hotels.
This January, leading stakeholders from the booming hospitality industry in the Kingdom will come together at the Hospitality Business Conclave, taking place on the 25th of January at the Park Hyatt hotel in Jeddah, who will be meeting world class solution providers and suppliers to seek solutions for their upcoming and existing projects.
In the run up to the upcoming inaugural edition of the Hospitality Business Conclave, the team at Information Exchange Group (IXG) interviewed Denis Sorin, the President of Hospitality Operations at Dur Hospitality, earlier known as SHARACO. Here are some excerpts from the interview:
What according to you are the three main differentiators for hotels in the Kingdom today? How are you attracting the young and business traveler to your hotels?
First, I would say that travelers’ expectations in the Kingdom are rising and that they do expect the same level of quality that they find anywhere else.
What role does technology play in implementing your vision for the new age hotels in the Kingdom?
I recently saw an experiment where the walls of your room are huge screens that can project your familiar picture, or show you today’s weather or anything of your liking - of course with the sound system and aromatherapy that goes with it!
How important do you think are buyer seller meets such as the Hospitality Business Conclave to exchange best practices and latest trends in the industry?
Participating in the Hospitality Business Conclave is very important to us at Dur Hospitality. It allows us to meet new suppliers, get new ideas and see how we can better address and get ready for ever changing guests’ expectations. I really look forward to it!
Leading speakers from companies such as Dur Hospitality, Al Khozama Management Company, Jabal Omar Development Company and hotel operators such as Four Seasons, Marriott, Hyatt, InterContinetal, Accor and a lot more have confirmed their attendance at the event. The conclave is supported by Miroir Brot, Aruba, Megaman, Secutronic and Saudi Green Building Council amongst others.
