Expanded Emirates Motorsport Expo Returns to Dubai

Building on a ground-breaking debut year in 2016, the Emirates Motorsport Expo, in collaboration with Mohammed Ben Sulayem, the Automobile and Touring Club of the UAE (ATCUAE) and the Dubai Sports Council, will return to Dubai Autodrome with an increased exhibitor line-up representing the full spectrum of UAE motorsports.

The show, which kicks off 2pm on Friday (15 September) at Dubai Autodrome, will host over 60 exhibitors and attractions, with local racing teams and companies on hand to offer a wide range of entry level opportunities for motorsport enthusiasts, including karting, sport bikes, saloon cars, radicals, various off-road series and even formula race cars.

Those interested in becoming actively involved in motorsports will have the opportunity to meet teams, competitors and key stakeholders.

Mohammed Ben Sulayem, President of the ATCUAE, returning as the Expo’s patron said, “The remarkable turnout we received from the first Expo made it clear that there is a significant and growing interest in motorsports in the region. The event has grown to meet this demand, making it the perfect place to launch the ATCUAE Calendar.”

Starting at 3pm, Mohammed Ben Sulayem and a panel of guest speakers will host a press conference at the show to highlight many of the race events scheduled for the upcoming season.

In addition to the exhibitors and speakers, there will also be a host of activities centred around the race paddock at Dubai Autodrome, including car displays, food trucks, drift experiences, saloon drives, racing simulators, a kart auction, and passenger rides on track.

“The Emirates Motorsport Expo has quickly grown into a significant event for the region, which we hope will become the ideal platform for connecting drivers to teams,” said Faisal Al Sahlawi, General Manager of Dubai Autodrome.

“We applaud Mohammed Ben Sulayem and his team at the ATCUAE for their support and leadership with the Expo and we look forward to working with them to ensure that it continues to improve year after year.”

The Emirates Motorsport Expo will be open to the public from 2pm to 6pm on Friday (15 September) and entrance into Dubai Autodrome will be free.
