Nasser L’Khrebani Al Nuiami, Chairman of the Faraj Fund Board affirmed that 14,000 inmates from penal and correctional facilities across the UAE have been released with the efforts of the fund.
In a statement marking the International Day of Charity, observed on September 5th every year, Mr. Al Nuiami praised the goodwill and philanthropic initiatives championed by President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan , His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, who have both promoted UAE's values of fraternity, unity, peace and tolerance by denouncing violence, hatred and discrimination.
The valuable humanitarian role the UAE has embraced has been significantly enhanced with Faraj Fund’s aid programmes. Since the organization’s inception in 2009, Faraj Fund has not only aided in the release of 14,000 inmates from penal and correctional facilities, but has also enabled the resettlement of 2,000 families.
