Fawaz Al-Hokair Company acquires franchise rights to open Decathlon sporting goods stores in KSA

In the first half of 2021, the Saudi sporting equipment retail market welcomes an important player as Decathlon, a major French sporting goods retailer with some 45years of experience, enters the market. FAWAZ Abdulaziz Al Hokair Company, a leading company in the retail sector, announced it has acquired the franchise rights to open Decathlon sporting goods stores in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the first half of 2021. Jeddah’s Mall of Arabia will host the first full-scale store with an expansion plan to open more stores in the coming years to serve sports users and customers all over the Kingdom. The new partnership with the global sports company, Decathlon, comes in line with Al-Hokair’s long-term strategy of transformation into a lifestyle company.

Founded in France in 1976 with presence in about 70 countries around the world & more than 1,600 stores, Decathlon is a world leader in sporting equipment, services& products. The company features a broad range of activities including water sports covering over 70 sports in total.
