To mark the 15th anniversary of the launch of its air conditioner brand “FREGO” in Saudi Arabia, Fawaz Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Company, held a special ceremony in celebration of this occasion, in a luxury ballroom in Kingdom of Bahrain. The ceremony was honored by the presence of the partner authorized to run Fawaz Company, Mr. Mubarak Bisharah, and the attendance of the company's senior executives, and a group of dealers and distributors of "FREGO" air conditioners.
Noting that the renowned air conditioner brand “FREGO” has been launched in 2002, and though it started its business by offering a limited selection of air conditioners, the brand has grown rapidly year after year, and has become one of the most famous brands in air conditioning and air cooling sector in the region. Following the significant expansion of its business in Saudi Arabia and the great demand for its air conditioning works; Fawaz Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Company launched its own air conditioners, including window and split units under its own brand “FREGO”. The company expanded its markets to include GCC and some Arabic countries, where its products have been well received by a large number of distributors and end users, in view of the high reputation of Fawaz Company and its cooling and air conditioning products, as well as “FREGO” brand air conditioners’ efficiency in terms of operation and economical energy consumption.
On this occasion, Engineer Abdul Karim Saleh, CEO of Fawaz Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Group, met a group of media reporters who attended the ceremony, and answered their questions and inquiries. Engineer Abdul Karim Saleh began the meeting by briefing the reporters about “FREGO” air conditioner brand, and affirmed that his keen efforts for “FREGO” to top the air conditioning sector in terms of quality and price, as well as to have a distinctive footprint in all GCC markets.
In his reply to a reporter's question about the strategy underpinning “FREGO” brand in the Saudi market, Engineer Abdul Karim said:” Since the debut of “FREGO” brand 2002, and with its modest beginnings in air conditioning area, we were sure of the Saudi market opportunities, because we were and still are well aware that it is a promising market that attract international companies. This has spurred us to expand in this market to enrich “FREGO” brand, as well as to include home appliances, and added: “The good results do not come out of the blue, we worked and still work hard according to plans, in addition to the large investments we have made to hold this top position, as well as the great customers trust in our products.
In replying to a question about obstacles facing home appliances sector, he stated:” Naturally there are some obstacles to any work or any sector, however, by the grace of Allah almighty, there were no major obstacles in “FREGO” march, yes, we encountered some obstacles, but we'd overcome with proper and insightful planning for the future.”
Commenting on a reporter’s inquiry about the orientations of Saudi Arabia in regards to energy conservation at this stage, Mr. Mahmoud Tawfik, Group Deputy CEO, said that “FREGO” air conditioners are of high efficiency in term of energy consumption compared to competitive air conditioners.
