Visitors to Al Qasba during the last two days of the UAE’s National Day celebrations were treated to displays of traditional dancing from Emirati group Al Harbeya, who showcased a number of choreographed routines throughout yesterday evening from 5:00pm until 10:30pm. The performances - which followed similar routines from local dance group Al Bahri on Thursday - set the scene for a spectacular firework display that concluded UAE National Day celebrations at Sharjah’s premier leisure, tourism and family destination.
The performances at Al Qasba took place in an environment that had been specially lit-up for the occasion. In place from November 30 until December 2, the illuminations also highlighted UAE Commemoration Day. Throughout the three-day period red, green and white wash lights shone their colours into the location’s palm trees and garden trees, while the country’s flag colours were also projected onto Al Qasba’s landmark bridge.
Al Qasba offers an array of state-of-the-art facilities and tourist attractions, including restaurants, cafés, the Kids Fun Zone, the Al Qasba Musical Fountain, the Eye of the Emirates Ferris wheel, the Maraya Art Centre and two libraries, among other facilities designed to meet the needs of visitors of all ages and communities.
