Airline increases presence in Hail with daily flights from Riyadh

National Saudi carrier flynas is the designated aviation carrier for the 2015 Hail International Rally, held this year in its tenth iteration by the High Commission for Development in Hail Region.
HRH Prince Saud Bin Abdulmohsen Bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Hail, President of the Supreme Commission for Hail Development and head of the Supreme Commission of the Hail Rally, HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Saad bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Hail Region, honored flynas for its efforts in bolstering the Kingdom’s tourism industry.

The offroad race is being held between the 19th and 26th of this month, with oversight by Prince Abdullah Bin Khalid, head of the Hail Rally’s executive committee, and technical supervision from the Saudi Arabian Motor Federation.
flynas’ participation as the aviation carrier for this seminal event comes out of its keen interest in providing support for various events and activities that would help invigorate the Kingdom’s tourism industry.
“As part of its responsibilities as a national carrier, flynas continues to support any and all social, cultural, and sporting activities and events,” said Yazeed Al-Rashid, Director of Marketing and Communications at NAS Holding. “The Hail International Rally is a great opportunity for us to contribute to the Kingdom’s tourism industry.”
He added that the airline is offering daily raffles on free tickets to encourage motorsport lovers and spectators to fly to watch the race.

To further enhance its strong presence in Hail, flynas is running daily flights from King Khaled International Airport in Riyadh to Hail Regional Airport, out of its recognition of that region’s importance to its domestic flight operations.

Fifty-three teams are participating in the three-stage, 1,200-kilometer rally in cars and on motorcycles. However, the event is hardly just about racing: concurrent with the actual rally, there will be 17 other events for young men and families in various places of Hail, lasting between two and nine days, among which are a youth camp in the Nufud desert, a sand skiing event, an exhibition for the Hail police department, and other events by the Hail Youth Development Center, the General Presidency of Youth Welfare, the Hail Education department, the Municipal Council, the Passport Department, and the Health Department, as well as sand dune drag racing and a horse show.
