The Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council for Arab States, Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, said that the competent technical committees are working on determining the nature of the unified GCC tourism visa, which was approved by the GCC's 44th Supreme Council Summit held in Doha in December 2023.
The statement of the Secretary-General following the eighth ministerial meeting of the ministers responsible for tourism in the Gulf Cooperation Council, hosted by Doha today, was quoted by Qatar News Agency.
Albudaiwi emphasized in the same context that the unified tourist visa aims to attract foreign tourists to the GCC countries and stimulate the vital sector.
He also pointed out that the unified visa project will facilitate the movement of tourists and visitors between GCC countries with ease. He expressed his hope for the tourism sector to benefit from this visa as soon as it comes into effect.
