The National Food Product Company recently, silver sponsored the biggest mosaic Emirati Flag campaign. The outstanding piece of the mosaic was added to the Guinness World Records under “Nefsy’s” initiative during the 49th National Day of the United Arab Emirates. The campaign was conducted in collaboration with Emirati Red Crescent, the Government of Dubai, and the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department. The initiative aimed at providing support due to the spread of COVID 19 and the reduction of the pandemic’s social and economic impact, through allocation of the families in need. The National Food Product Company NFPC project falls under its strategy to support the local community under its social corporate responsibility principles.
The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai supported the cause along with the NFPC through providing 49 thousand food packs, that contained commodities such as rice, flour, edible oil, sugar, salt, hand sanitizers, as well as bottled water offered by Oasis Water Company. Each package was accompanied by a card, to the needy families which included the phrase "Don't Worry" as a message of support and love emphasizing that they are not alone. While the Emirati Red Crescent contributed to the campaign by distributing the packages to families in need throughout 10 days.
The cards were used to innovate the biggest mosaic Emirati Flag which was the first and the largest flag of good cause, flag of UAE that reached 498.33-meter square. The outstanding piece of the mosaic was placed at the courtyard of the Police Academy, of Al Wasel district. This masterpiece of art that entered the Guinness World Records held for two weeks, allowing the audience and pedestrians to observe.
Both the NFPC and Oasis Water company silver sponsored the project. While “PEPSI”, the primary sponsor provided 5 thousand food boxes containing PEPSI cans, in addition to providing 1 million meals which were distributed to the families in need. Whereas “Du” the Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company, as a diamond sponsor sent 7 million short messages across the UAE asking its customers to be part of the initiative and contributions. As a platinum sponsor, “DEWA” and “Tabreed” extended support by providing 4900 boxes and 4000 food boxes. As for “GulfCo” and “Rotary Club of Dubai”, the companies provided 50 thousand sterilizing packages. Yet, “Apparel” and “Patchi”, the Golden sponsors extended 13 thousand tons of food as well as “Patchi” included chocolates to its distribution’s kits. In addition, many other brands supported the cause through logistics and volunteering works as a bronze sponsor.
