Under the patronage and in the presence of H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, City University College of Ajman (CUCA), one of the fastest growing higher education institutions in the Northern Emirates, and a member of R Education and Academic Development (READ), held its third graduation ceremony, conferring degrees on a total of 428 graduates.
H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Ajman Executive Coucil, H.H. Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Municipality and Planning Department of Ajman and Chairman of READ & CUCA. The graduates were recognized in a ceremony held at the Emirates Hospitality Center in Ajman.
H.H. Sheikh Humaid, as the guest of honor, conferred degrees on 30 outstanding students for their exceptional performance. The students have completed bachelor’s and master’s degrees in various fields including Business Administration, Law, PR and advertising, Education and Human Resource Management. The ceremony witnessed a total of 320 students at the undergraduate level, and 108 students at the graduate level receiving their degrees.
His Highness (H.H.) Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of READ & CUCA commended the efforts of the College Management for enabling CUCA to play a substantial role in as a higher education organization, that has placed key focus on the development of human resources. H.H. congratulated the graduates and their parents, saying, “Transformation of the higher education sector in the Emirate of Ajman, under the leadership of H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Ruler of Ajman and member of UAE supreme council, has led to the establishment of higher educational institutions which focus on quality of education while offering diverse academic portfolio. This is in line with the founding philosophy of READ and CUCA from its inception.”
His Highness added, “I appreciate the progressive high-standards as set and regulated by the Ministry of E ducation- Higher Education Affairs, which in turn reflects on the high-caliber graduates produced by the higher educational institutions in the Country. I wish these 428 graduates the very best for their future endeavors and appreciation for their contribution ahead for the nation.”
Imran Khan, President of CUCA and CEO of READ, noted: “Education is the key to strengthen hope and these graduates have earned their empowerment. On behalf of the Board of Trustees, Management, Members of the Faculty and Administration, I would like to congratulate the graduates - the Class of 2018, for accomplishing this important milestone in the Year of Zayed.”
Thanking the leadership of Ajman, Khan added, “The education sector has continued to rank amongst the top priorities in Ajman, under the visionary leadership of H.H. Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, the Ruler of Ajman and H.H. Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, the Crown Prince and the Chairman of Ajman Executive Council. We at CUCA, are humbled to contribute towards the leaderships vision.”
After moving to the new state-of-the-art campus the College is looking forward to achieving new milestones this year, including achieving the status of a University and introducing new programs at the undergraduate and graduate level in areas of Pharmacy & Dentistry, Information Technology, PR & Advertising and Public Administration.
