The Board of Directors of the General Authority of Civil Aviation held a meeting in Jeddah on Thursday.
With Authority President Sulaiman Al-Hamdan presiding, members of the board discussed a number of subjects and issues and made decisions, one of which was its approval of the financial statements of the Air Navigation Company.
The board also approved its executive policy and that of the audit committee, and delegated the Chairman to make prompt decisions and inform the board of them.
The board also approved the reformation of the audit committee, and approved the appointment of Ibrahim Al-Rashed as an advisor to the committee from outside the board.
The board also reviewed a report on all the actions taken, and reviewed a number of suggestions by the Authority’s executive management pertaining to moving the Authority’s headquarters to Riyadh, as per the Council of Ministers’ decision to make the move the move.
The board also reviewed a comprehensive reports about the Authority’s budget for 2016, as well as another report about progress made in implementing and executing the Authority’s strategic plan.
It was given a presentation by the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage about the post-Umrah tourism program and steps taken in that regard.
Finally, the board reviewed its annual report for 2015.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Faisal Al-Suqair, the Authority’s Advisor for Executive Affairs; Eng. Abdullah Al-Jarbou, Deputy to Minister of Economy and Planning; Eng. Dairal Al-Zabn, Deputy to the Minister of Transport for Planning; Majed Al-Bawardi, Advisor to the Minister of Commerce and Industry and Chief Supervisor of Information Technology; Dr. Hamad Al-Samail, Deputy to the President of the General Commission for Tourism and National Heritage for Investment and Development; and Eng. Abdullah Al-Zamil, a member of the Authority’s board.
