Healthcare transformation takes centre stage in Riyadh next week

  • Global Health Exhibition is being held under the patronage of the KSA Ministry of Health
  • Innov8 Talks will see entrepreneurs pitch innovative solutions that can address current gaps and redefine healthcare

Under the theme of ‘A new era of healthcare in KSA’, more than 15,000 attendees from across Saudi Arabia and abroad have confirmed their participation at Global Health Exhibition taking place next week from 9-11 October 2022 at the Riyadh International Exhibition Centre.

Under the patronage of the KSA Ministry of Health, the three-day event will showcase the latest in healthcare tech as well as host high-level accredited conferences.

Over 250 local and international exhibitors from more than 30 countries will exhibit state-of-the-art healthcare innovations and solutions, right from medical imaging equipment to disposables. The list of participating companies includes DaVita, Dr Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Group, NAFFCO, Philips, NEOM, GE Healthcare, Siemens Healthineers, Baxter International, Al Borg Diagnostics, Ajlan & Bros Holding Group Abilitii, Gulf Health Council and a host of other leading names from the industry. Confirmed participating countries at the event include KSA, UAE, Kuwait, Lebanon, Turkey, United States and a host of European countries such as the UK, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, France, Portugal, Poland, Netherland and Ireland.

An exciting new feature of the exhibition this year will be the Innov8 Talks, where the most promising entrepreneurs from around the world will pitch how their solutions can address current gaps and redefine healthcare. The winner will be picked by an esteemed panel of investors, innovators, and entrepreneurs.

Furthermore, the 2022 edition of the Global Health Congress will host five conferences, including 4 CME accredited tracks. The conferences include the Leaders Forum, Quality Healthcare, Future of Medical Labs, Radiology, and Public Health. The Congress will see distinguished panelists from the government and several healthcare institutions within the Kingdom discuss the latest updates on the Vision 2030 plan, the opportunities in the sector, and the way forward.

For example, one of the interesting sessions on October 9 is titled ‘Putting the patient at the center: coordinating health and social outcomes.’ Hosted by Merative and Obeikan, it will address how the complex health management needs of communities in light of rising costs, ageing populations, and growth in chronic diseases can be managed.

Solenne Singer, Group Director, Informa Markets, said: “Saudi Arabia is a vital contributor to the growth of the global healthcare industry. In line with Saudi Vision 2030, the Kingdom has quickly progressed in terms of developing its healthcare infrastructure, enabling it to become one of the most advanced digital health hubs in the region and worldwide. We are confident about Global Health Exhibition facilitating this progress and helping the country achieve its objectives. Through our strategic agenda at Global Health and the participation of several leading healthcare organisations, we are striving to pave the way for the Kingdom's continued success in this sector.”
