His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, has approved the appointment of the board of directors for Mahd Sports Academy for a duration of three years.
As per the approval, the board of directors will consist of representatives from two government bodies, namely the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Education.
Additionally, the decision includes the appointment of Princess Reema bint Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Abdulaziz Ahmad Baeshen, Dr. Maha bint Ahmed Al-Juffali, Jose Mourinho, and Ioan Lupescu as members of the board.
The Minister of Sport and Chairman of the academy's Board of Directors, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal, has expressed his gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister for the approval of the academy's board of directors.
The minister commended the leadership's support to the sports sector and emphasized the board's dedication to achieving significant advancements in talent identification across various sports.
The minister further affirmed that these efforts aim to cultivate a new generation of athletes that will represent the Kingdom in both continental and international tournaments.
