Minister of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD) Ahmed Al-Rajhi launched today, Jan. 29, the “Youth Development Strategy”, which aims to empower young people and support them to achieve national aspirations through developing youth opportunities and choices to complement their scientific and practical interests in all fields.
This strategy comes in cooperation and partnership with more than 30 governmental and private entities that provide youth with various programs and initiatives in various fields, the most important of which are regulations and legislation for young labor, Al-Rajhi said in his speech during the strategy’s inauguration ceremony.
This is besides building the capabilities of those working with youth and raising youth participation in the decision-making process and community engagement.
The increasing proportion of young people in the Kingdom, reaching 44% of the population and representing 78% of the total workforce, necessitated the design of this strategy. It extends until 2030 and is based on five key pillars, the foundation of which is the ministry’s vision that youth are the wealth of the nation, aiming to achieve 10 strategic goals, Al-Rajhi highlighted.
He added that the strategy will include implementing 20 initiatives and 40 projects targeting all segments of youth.
