HTC Vive Now Available to Customers in Saudi Arabia

HTC, a pioneer in innovative smart technologies, has announced the retail availability of its game-changing HTC Vive virtual reality suite in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Available exclusively at Jarir Bookstore, the HTC Vive suite includes the Vive headset, two Vive handheld controllers and two base stations with advanced tracking technology to deliver a room-scale VR experience, and is priced at SAR 3299.

The groundbreaking technology enhances gaming and storytelling, transforming it into an unrivaled 3D experience through the powerful combination of motion sensor technology and graphic precision. Professional reviewers place the HTC Vive far ahead of competition, setting the bar for virtual reality experiences and solutions. This was accomplished through HTC’s partnership with Valve to incorporate Steam VR tracking and input technologies optimized for use with Steam, one of the largest online platforms for PC, Linux and Mac games and software. Presently there are more than 870 VR titles on Steam library which continues to grow exponentially.

“HTC Vive is the result of significant innovation and creativity, and a firm vision to setting the standards in virtual reality”, said Nikitas Glykas, President, HTC MEA. “We are thrilled that virtual reality enthusiasts can finally bring the HTC Vive VR suite home through our exclusive partnership with Jarir Bookstore, who are consistently the first in the country to introduce the latest technology to their customers.”

“This state of the art virtual reality suite introduces an unparalleled and immersive experience to gaming enthusiasts in the Kingdom, who constitute one of the fastest growing communities of online gamers in the world. Additionally, with an ever increasing number of applications and experiences available, the utility of the HTC Vive extends from edutainment and learning opportunities for students to enhancing several industry fields including healthcare, construction, training, tourism and so forth. I look forward to a new wave of innovation emerging from the Kingdom”, he added.

Visitors to Jarir Bookstore in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam can experience the latest in VR consumer technology live, through immersive and interactive demonstrations at these locations. The HTC Vive is available for order immediately and is accompanied by two HTC exclusive, exciting and globally acclaimed VR games - The Gallery: Call of Starseed and Zombie Training Simulator.
