Industry Minister launches Rafed Program for university-based factories

Bandar Alkhorayef, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, launched today, Sept. 16, the Rafed Program, which aims to establish innovative factories at universities and technical colleges across the Kingdom, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
 

 

The program aims to develop effective partnerships with academic institutions, enhancing the utilization of innovation and research in advanced manufacturing, particularly in the promising sectors targeted by the National Industrial Strategy.
 

 

The launch event was attended by leaders from the industrial and mining sectors, deans of several Saudi universities, and representatives from private sector companies.
 

 

Rafed is a comprehensive program aimed at supporting advanced national industries, led by the Ministry of Industry. Several local universities and technical colleges participate in the program, to achieve the objectives of the National Industrial Strategy.
