Dubai Customs plays a noticeable role in enhancing a culture of innovation within the government setting. For that it launched a number of initiatives which included its Innovation Mondial that took place with the participation of 200 people in 20 teams who competed to come up with a creative impactful initiative in line with Dubai 10X-2.0project.
The Mondial aimed at enhancing the culture of innovation and helping participants come up with disruptive ideas to face the future challenges in support of Dubai’s vision of helping the emirate moving ten years ahead of other cities.
Ahmed Abdul Salam Kazim, Director of Strategy and Corporate Excellence said:” We, at Dubai Customs, work hard to achieve the best results inspired by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai who taught us that innovation is a necessity and not a luxury, and the UAE views it as a future necessity and not just a media hype. This is why Dubai Customs arranges this Mondial which also comes in line with the launch of the new version of 10X initiative - 10X-2.0by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council”.
On his part, Amer Abdul Raoof, Director of Dubai 10x said: “Termslike artificial intelligence, block chain, and 4thindustrial revolution are becoming daily terms and regularly used by the government thanks to the vision of the wise leadership. What we are trying to do is disrupt the way our government works because we want to deliver government services for everyone in Dubai, service that is 10 times better, 10 times faster and 10 times more efficient.”
Yousef Al Hashimi,Director of Jebel Ali Customs Centers Management pointed out that innovations will put us in the midst of advanced technological revolution which we expect will help make the lives of our next generations better based on the strategies of the UAE Centennial 2071 project”.
