The Executive Director of the Jordanian Association of ICT Companies “Intaj”, Nidal Al-Bitar, confirmed that the association is preparing for a new project that will be the largest of its kind.
"This project will be worked on with the help of an external consultant to build a solid platform for information and data on the sector, which is an engine for all other economic sectors," Al-Bitar said. Al-Bitar explained that the platform, which will be named “InfoCenter”, will gather and collect updated information, figures and economic indicators on the sectors of telecommunications and information technology: the spread of services, investments, employment, exports, electronic commerce, and other economic indicators related to this rapidly growing sector.
He pointed out that the platform will serve as an “information and data bank” on the ICT sector. He stressed that work on the project will begin in the month of September (next), expected to be launched by the beginning of next year. Al-Bitar stressed the importance of this project to help everyone plan and make decisions from investors, companies and individuals. He stressed that the platform will also contain detailed information on each sub-sector, and it will be interactive and contain analysis tools to provide assistance, guidance and guidance to all decision makers, investors and companies.
