The International Society for Industrial Security, Jeddah Branch, honored SABIC for supporting, sponsoring and participating in the Fourth Forum of the International Society for Industrial Security and the accompanying exhibition in Jeddah on November 11.
The Forum was attended by a number of officials and experts from the security sector, specialists from the public and private sectors, as well as academics and media professionals.
SABIC was represented by Abdulelah Al-Faris, General Manager, SABIC Jeddah Office, and Rashid Al-Bakr, Senior Manager, SABIC Industrial Security, Eastern Province. Al-Faris received a plaque on behalf of SABIC.
In his speech, Al-Faris highlighted SABIC’s leading role in industrial security and its strong commitment to safety and social responsibility. He pointed out to SABIC’s efforts to raise awareness on security, environment and health within the company, the local community as well as the global communities where it operates.
Al-Faris said that SABIC’s industrial security awareness programs are conducted at various conferences and seminars. It contributes to events relevant to security, environment and health, and seeks to spread a culture of safety even outside the workplace. It also participates in awareness campaigns on home safety and defensive driving, besides organizing voluntary programs for environment care.
SABIC also participated in an accompanying exhibition to share best practices in safety and security areas. The aim of the exhibition was to highlight ways to enhance industrial security performance, develop knowledge in this sector, and offer networking opportunities for experts in the field.
SABIC’s participation in the event is part of its commitment to fulfil its national social responsibility role.
