Isuzu launches its new model in an exciting adventure all around Saudi Arabia

Isuzu Motors International Operations (Thailand), Co., Ltd. has organized an adventure trip across the deserts, mountains, and valleys of Saudi Arabia to launch the brand-new multipurpose SUV model “MU-X”. 

The exciting adventure trip started from Jeddah, the crown jewel of the Red Sea with the participation of reputed auto racing champion and the social media activist Captain Falah Aljarba, and the famous media broadcaster Ms. Shatha Kattan.

At the beginning of the adventure, both participants were briefed about the trip route as well as the features and specifications of the all-new Isuzu models which they will drive during the trip which are “MU-X” and “D-MAX”. They were also briefed about the cutting-edge systems of driving and safety of new Isuzu models.

The adventure started from Dhaban area with its thick sand dunes of different heights where the 4-wheel MU-X vehicles moved upward in balance at high speed while maneuvering to climb and get over those dunes and driving in different directions, then they both drove “D-MAX” at a higher speed to highlight the vehicle skills in climbing and getting over the dunes. After this hill-climbing adventure, both participants expressed their joy in trying Isuzu MU-X and D-MAX vehicles in such circumstances. 

The next day, the group rushed to Taif, the crown jewel of Saudi Arabia's summering, passing by Aqabat-Almohammdiyya, the tough road known for its many turns upward through Namar valley known for its tracks that are hard to pass. During the trip and in the road to the arrival destination in Taif, both participants tested the amazing driving systems that were installed for both models. Eventually, the group arrived at  its destination at "Sesed" valley to perform a driving experience and test the vehicle's performance under different circumstances by driving in a lagoon where driving experiences were performed all along the valley soaked with water. Isuzu vehicles showed an amazing performance at the high efficiency of driving in all circumstances.   

On the 3rd day, the group continued its trip toward the famous Al Baha area known for its steep and zigzag bumps where the group has experienced driving upward using the Hill Descent Control (HDC) and Hill Start Assist (HSA) systems available on Isuzu vehicles.

It’s important to mention that MU-X 2022 features strong performance and an unparalleled capability to drive under different circumstances, it also features an elegant external design with adorable front, it can accommodate up to 7 passengers in a cutting-edge cabin that is designed to satisfy all kinds of drivers. MU-X 2022 is equipped with a 3-liter Turbo Charger diesel engine which deliver 190ps, and maximum torque 450Nm at 1600-2600 rpm. MU-X 2022 Model comes in three grades with 4x2 and 4x4 drive.

Isuzu MU-X 2022 model is also equipped with many cutting-edge driving and safety systems that put this model at the top of the 4x2 vehicles, these systems include Traction Control (TCS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Tires Pressure Mentoring (TPMS), Cruise Control system, Anti Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Braking Distribution (EBD) & Brake Assist (BA), Front Dual Airbags, and a lot of other safety systems. In addition, the cabin equipped with Infotainment Systems that include 7-inch display screen, 6 or 8 speakers, and Steering Switches to manage the Audio as well as the Cruise Control. 

D-MAX GT comes in a dynamic design that meets all expectations along with convenient functions that provide great strength in a muscular exterior design and spacious cabin which equipped with 9-inch multimedia screen in addition to many safety systems including ABS with EBD & BA and Rear Parking aid. D-MAX-GT is equipped with a 3-liter turbo charged diesel engine which deliver 190ps, and maximum torque 450Nm at 1600-2600 rpm. The elegant exterior design of D-MAX-GT features gloss black paint 18” wheel, gloss black with Red Isuzu emblem, sporty seat in black & red color, and piano black and red color door trim garnish. 

D-MAX models are also equipped with a 3-liter Turbo Charger diesel engine which deliver 190ps, and maximum torque 450Nm at 1600-2600 rpm, and 1.9-liter diesel engine to increase the fuel consumption efficiency to a new level Turbo Charger diesel engine which deliver 150ps, and maximum torque 350Nm at 1800-2600 rpm.

Both engines feature high fuel efficiency owing to the electronic controlled fuel injection pump along with the turbo charger to make the most of every single fuel drop. Both engines feature less internal erosion percentage with more strength and torque power at the lowest wear and noise levels, transmission available in either automatic or manual at 6 speeds.

Isuzu is always keen to guarantee that its production lines deliver models that meet all customers’ needs, therefore D-MAX is also available with 2.5 liter Turbo Charger diesel engine which provide136ps, and maximum torque 320Nm at 1800-2800rpm. D-Max also comes with 2.5 liter Turbo Charger diesel engine which provide 109ps, and maximum torque 280Nm at 1800-2200 rpm.

Isuzu is a pioneer in fuel consumption efficiency. In its most recent fuel consumption saving tests, D-MAX vehicle has managed to drive from Jeddah to Bahrain for 1,431Kms with one full tank while MU-X vehicle managed to drive for 1,227Kms.
