JAC showcased more than 40 major products at the Beijing Auto Show this year, focusing on the company’s achievements in producing quality commercial and passenger vehicles. The development of efficient new electric and diesel models was at the forefront of JAC’s display, delivering on the company’s mantra ‘Integrity, Quality, Technology and Life’.
The stylish and efficient iEV6S arrives
Having built up considerable experience in the research and development of new-energy cars over the last decade, JAC is well positioned to deliver the stylish and efficient iEV6S to the market. Powered by an advanced Samsung lithium-ion battery, the iEV6S has a range of up to 300km, while ensuring high-performance with its 85kW of power and 270Nm of torque.
JAC has developed a number of advanced techniques in order to maximize the range and power of the iEV6S, when compared with other contemporary electric vehicles. The iEV6S battery’s thermal insulation technology is crucial to ensuring it does not suffer from a reduced range due to temperature drops, even at lows of minus 20℃.
JAC also unveiled its second-generation M5, aimed at the high-end MPV market. The new model has 30 upgrades, including NVH, nasty odour elimination, air conditioning, parking radars, CCS and an intelligent voice control system.
“S3 Speed”: 600 days witnessed 300,000 units in sales marking a perfect start
Though much focus was on the iEV6S and M5, the S3 still enjoyed much attention. Within 600 days of its release over 300,000 S3 cars have been sold , making it JAC’s best-selling small SUV.
With the S3 leading the way, sales of JAC’s SUVs, MPVs, and new energy cars also hiked, marking a perfect start to the first quarter. By March this year, JAC Passenger Vehicle has sold a total of 116,651 cars, up 35.5% from last year.
GREENJET’S GB5 diesel engine hits the market
GREENJET, JAC’s self-produced power brand, also launched two newly-developed products, the 2.0L and 2.7L diesel engines.
Having accumulated over 20,000 hours of lab testing, the 2.0L has an output of 100kW of power and 285Nw of torque. The engine also utilizes advanced noise reduction technology, making it comparable to a gasoline engine.
Having been through over one million kilometers of road tests, the 2.7L diesel has made great breakthroughs in both displacement and power performance. It produces 355Nm of torque, along with rated power of 112kW and volume power of 40.8kW, up to fifteen percent higher than its counterparts on the market.
Product and Technology Upgrade
Over the past ten years JAC has released seven generations of technology and two generations of products into the market, with total sales standing at more than 22,000 units. JAC has made a number of key breakthroughs, in electric steering and braking, energy recovery, and remote monitoring.
