Saudi Arabia will facilitate Jazan port to receive shipments of commercial goods, which are being sent under the humanitarian package to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people.
“The Kingdom will take all the required organizational, logistical and financial measures in this regard,” it was stated at a meeting of the Saudi led-Coalition supporting legitimacy in Yemen and diplomats accredited to the Kingdom.
Jazan port is the nearest Saudi port to Yemen.
The meeting was convened at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Riyadh on Tuesday to explain to the diplomats various aspects of the huge humanitarian initiative launched by the coalition.
Saudi Ambassador to Yemen Mohammed Al-Jaber and coalition spokesman Col. Turki Al-Malki briefed the diplomats on various measures being taken to meet the humanitarian needs of the Yemeni people in all regions of the war-torn country as well as to ensure the delivery of all kinds of commercial shipments and petroleum products to all areas of Yemen including Sana’a and Hodeida.
They explained that the humanitarian plan aims to normalize trade flows and the humanitarian situation that prevailed before Nov. 6.
It also ensures the smooth flow of commercial goods and the improvement of various aspects of life in Yemen.
