Jordan's national football team finished their final training on Friday in preparation for a meeting with Saudi Arabia on Saturday in a match outside the accounts of the West Asian Championship after bidding farewell to "Al Nashama" competitions. The team lost to Bahrain 0-1 in the first round in Group 2, and tied hard-fought against Kuwait to bid for the preparatory tournament.
The meeting is scheduled to start at 7:30 pm at the François Hariri Stadium in the Iraqi city of Erbil. Kuwait and Bahrain (4 points each) qualified for Group 2 after Jordan and Saudi Arabia lost their chances of qualifying for the final. The tournament's rules only require the group's champion to qualify directly for the August 14 final in Karbala, which currently hosts Group A, which includes Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Palestine and Yemen.
