Jordanian industrial delegation, representing the leather and garment sector, will start a working visit to Iraq on Saturday, to discuss investment opportunities and means to facilitate the flow of Jordanian products to the Iraqi market.
The visit comes in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply, to discuss a number of issues, notably reviewing the exempted Jordanian goods list for export to the Iraqi market, to include new items which Iraq does not produce, statement by Chairman of the Jordan Chamber of Industry, Fathi Jaghbir, said.
During the visit, meetings will be held with Iraqi officials to discuss ways of overcoming exporting obstacles to Iraq and to address transportation problems, since some good are denied land delivery.
Taking part in the visit will be representatives of fourteen industrial companies operating in the field of leather and clothing, a sector that employs 73,000 workers and exports products to various international markets.
