The AFC has chosen Jordan's international referee Sabreen Abadi to take part in the Asian Women's Under-16 Championship, which will be held in Thailand from September 15-28. Al-Hakam Al-Abbadi is the only Arab to participate in the management of this continental event. She is one of the elite referees and has previously participated in the management of the Asian Games.
Thailand, Japan, Australia and Bangladesh are in Group A, with Group B taking on North Korea against South Korea, China and Vietnam. The first two teams qualify for the tournament. Group to the semi-finals, the two teams qualify for the final Asian continent in the under-17 World Cup 2020 in India.
