Katerra organizes its first Ramadan Iftar at Four Seasons Hotel in Riyadh

Katerra, a leading design and technology driven global construction company organized its first Ramadan Iftar (breaking the fast) at Four Seasons Hotel in Riyadh on Sunday 19th May 2019. The Iftar was attended by Katerra’s partners and clients like Soft Bank, General Investment Authority (SAGIA), Saudi Venture Capital Company, Community Development Company, Saudi Industrial Development Fund(SIDF), Modon, Oyo Hotels, JLL MENA amongst others.

A Silicon Valley technology driven, offsite construction start-up, Katerra has grown rapidly since 2015.  Today, the company has over 5,000 employees, 6 operational factories and 700+ projects in progress across India and America.  

Backed by Soft Bank’s Vision Fund, Katerra makes its foray in the Saudi market, introducing advanced construction technology to support the country’s infrastructure plan outlined in Vision 2030.

Earlier in the day, the company signed its first contract in the region with the Ministry of Housing represented by the Development Housing Initiative to build 4101 housing units in five regions in the Kingdom namely: Makkah, Madinah, Al Jawf, Al Qasim and Al Baha.

The signing ceremony was attended by Ash Bhardwaj, President of Katerra Asia and the Middle East and held under the patronage and presence of His Excellency, Minister of Housing, Mr. Majed Bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, and Ziyad Al Ashaikh, Partner Head of Softbank SBIA, Saudi Arabia. A Silicon Valley technology leader, entrepreneur and investor for over three decades, Ash Bhardwaj has succeeded in transforming several companies by driving growth and expanding their reach to new markets. 

Katerra has strong business plans to rapidly expand its operations in the Saudi market and revolutionize its construction sector by introducing advanced global practices.
