Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana in collaboration with Mrs. Tamara Noori and Mrs. Mehad Naji is organizing an art workshop for children on May 28th and June 4th, 2016. This initiative offers a creative environment allowing youngster the freedom to explore their own potential and nurture their self-esteem, while celebrating the charitable spirit of Ramadan.
The philosophy of children’s art workshop at the Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana is based and focuses on the creative process of children and gives the opportunity to show how small initiatives can help others. The children will get the chance to make glass paintings, coasters acrylic paintings on canvas and lanterns paintings under the guidance of the talented Mrs. Noori and Mrs. Naji both of whom dedicate their time to support art.
“Through the years of crafting and teaching art I have come to love it, and it has become a part of my life. Teaching and sharing my gift with my students and showing them the fascinating side of art, and bringing their inner talent and creativeness forward is what makes it more rewarding.” Said Tamara Noori, teacher at the National theatre.
All items made during these workshops will be sold during Ramadan and all proceeds will go to the Make a Wish Foundation that grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions. These workshops are driven by the imagination and curiosity of children, with a belief that children’s work is play-based and connected to things that are relevant and meaningful in their lives.
“Together we will explore the creative process as we experiment with a variety of art materials using imagination, memory and observation skills. The kids will be painting, mixing colours, making cards and canvases all for a charitable cost. There will be valued lessons from Mrs. Tamara, stories to share and a lot of fun present during these amazing days.” Said Eleni Tsolakou, General Manager at Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana.
Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana’s workshop offers an opportunity for children to express themselves creatively while supporting others in need. Pieces of art will be sold to the public, with all funds being used to fulfil a patient’s wish with the Make a Wish Foundation. Through this initiative kids are being exposed to tremendously moving stories as they learn the true meaning of gratitude.
Join this activity at Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana on May 28th and June 4th from 03:00 PM until 6:00 PM for the price of AED 300 per child and let the little ones discover their own expressionistic power in workshops that combine art, fun, traditions and charitable spirit into one! The class sizes are kept small to ensure plenty of individual attention. No prior art-making experience is required.
