King Salman arrived in Makkah on Wednesday evening to spend the last ten days of Ramadan in the holy city.
He was received by a number of dignitaries upon his arrival, including the Governor of the Makkah Province, Prince Khalid Al-Faisal.
The king was also received by religious leaders and government officials.
Traditionally, Saudi kings spend the last few days of Ramadan in Makkah at Al-Safa palace adjacent to the Grand Mosque.
