Leopold’s of London Hosts Personal Development Charity Program to Benefit Orphaned Children

The Leopold’s of London located in Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR) Dubai, served as the venue for the Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation’s Personal Development Charity Program, that aimed to understand the trauma faced by orphaned children aged 14 and above.

Leopold’s of London aided the prestigious program and assisted social workers who explored behavioral patterns, the impacts, and effects of the teenagers’ circumstances through friendly conversations and a series of entertaining activities. The English restaurant was chosen for its vibrant atmosphere that put the children at ease and allowed them to open up and be accepting of the personal development sessions that were designed to effectively help the teenagers deal with distress.

Sunil Varma, the Director of Leopold’s of London chain added: “Personal loss and grief is such a relevant cause that is commonly overlooked. It was an exceptional experience to be a part of this project and for that, I would like to thank the Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation. The organization’s work and contributions in understanding and catering to the needs of orphaned teenagers is inspiring and I hope that this project drives awareness amongst our community”.

The project is centered on developing the children’s self-esteem, increasing confidence, providing motivation for them to set ambitious goals, and offer support in achieving them. As part of the program, successful persons from a similar background shared their stories to further reflect how their dream are within reach. The group also bonded over a hearty meal, compliments of the Leopold’s of London chef.

Leopold’s of London hosted the group on March 29, and will provide a slice of authentic English tradition through free meals.
“The company has actively supported various community projects but has lately desired to be a part of a project that champions children. Working closely with the foundation has opened our eyes to problems that are outcomes of negative change. We look forward to collaborating again in the future and offering assistance to the brilliant Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation,” concluded Alona Kushnarenko, the Marketing & Communication Manager of Leopold’s of London.
