Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman has approved naming the project of International Center for Conference being built by the Ministry of Finance in Madinah as King Salman International Center for Conferences, the SPA reported.
This was announced by Finance Minister Ibrahim Al-Assaf who explained that the project was designed according to the latest engineering specifications and standards to accommodate the most important Islamic conferences and major events to be held in the region.
The project is being built on an area of 91,000 square meters, including a massive hall that can accommodate up to 2,500 people and multipurpose halls for 1,550 people, parking space for 1,000 vehicles. It will be completed before Ramadan next year, he said.
In another development, King Salman approved the participation of Sheikh Hassan bin Abdul Hameed Bukhari as imam to lead taraweeh prayers at the Grand Mosque during Ramadan.
In his announcement, Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais, head of the Presidency of the Two Holy Mosques, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the king for the decision.
He said the approval demonstrates the king’s efforts to provide the best services to the visitors of the Two Holy Mosques and prayed to Allah the Almighty to reward the King for his efforts and to protect this country’s leadership.
