Majid Al Futtaim, the leading shopping mall, retail and leisure pioneer across the Middle East and North Africa, welcomes visitors and residents in the UAE to its Dubai malls for Eid Al Fitr weekend celebrations. Ahead of schedule and just in time for the festivities, Mall of the Emirates is enhancing visitors’ experience by offering additional 1,350 parking spaces on new level 4, as part of the mall’s strategic redevelopment, Evolution 2015.
Now featuring a total of 7,300 parking spaces, Mall of the Emirates’ visitors can drive up to the new parking deck with roof-top shade protection and direct shopping access to the mall. Additionally, works on level 3 and on the ground floor parking area are now complete and available to shoppers. These works along with other exciting redevelopment projects being rolled out in the next coming months, will position Mall of the Emirates as a preferred lifestyle destination in Dubai.
This Eid, the iconic Mall of the Emirates will be highlighting cultural traditions, welcoming visitors with Arabic coffee, dates, and Emirati dessert luqaimat, before showcasing Hakawati (Arabic story telling), as well as calligraphic artistry.
Those wanting to play for prizes can have a go at the ‘Dream to Earn the Deal’ competition, which gives shoppers the chance to answer 10 questions to win a gift, as well as a ‘Play and Win’ game with excellent rewards up for grabs. In addition, there will be appearances from local personalities sharing in the enjoyment of the holiday, including Kanu, Max of Arabia, Ali Aljasmi and more.
“With the predicted substantial increase in visitor numbers to Dubai during the Eid weekend, we are anticipating residents, together with international and regional tourists who are attracted to Dubai’s premium shopping, dining and entertainment venues, to visit Mall of Emirates and the City Centre malls in Dubai,” said Fuad Mansoor Sharaf, Senior Director – Property Management, Shopping Malls for Majid Al Futtaim Properties. “The family entertainment programme, coupled with give-away competitions, music, and dance shows will keep visitors amused over the course of the holiday weekend, promising to create great moments, for everyone, everyday.”

Those wanting to revel through music can watch the traditional folkloric Emirati band Al Yolha, in the first level of the Centre Court.
Meanwhile, City Centre Mirdif will be inviting locals and families to enjoy the playing of the ivories during a 30 minute Grande Piano Show, which will take place three times daily, over the course of five days. Visitors will also be able to stop by the Eid hospitality for refreshments, as well as the handy craft workshop to keep the younger ones busy.
