For this year’s EXCS Motor Show Maserati showcased three of its most popular models – the Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale, the Maserati Quattroporte GTS – the flagship – as well as the Ghibli, Maserati’s latest addition to its model portfolio.
The Maserati GranTurismo was born to be the ultimate grand tourer with its endearing lines and engineering concept stretching back to the elegant Maserati A6 1500GT of 1947. Today’s GranTurismo MC Stradale offers peerless, performance luxury in daily commuting, on long trips or for more committed, sporting drives. The sporty stance and classic gran turismo silhouette of the 4-seater tell of its over 100-year heritage of famous Maserati race and road cars - a true design masterpiece by Pininfarina. Its powerful, naturally-aspirated V8 engine is hand-assembled by Ferrari in Maranello giving the GranTurismo MC Stradale its characteristic eager throttle response and free-revving characteristics. The race-tech derived high-revolution engine coupled with the super-fact six-speed electro-actuated “MC Race Shift” transaxle gearbox allows the car to reach 100km/h from zero in just 4.5 seconds on its way to a top speed of 303km/h.
With the original Quattroporte, Maserati invented the concept of the luxury sports sedan and the new Quattroporte continues to be the benchmark for high quality engineering, supercar performance and limousine comfort. The engine of the Quattroporte GTS, the flagship of the Quattroporte range, provides Maserati’s performance benchmark, reaching 100km/h in just 4.7 seconds and achieving a 307km/h top speed.cThe Quattroporte GTS is powered by a state-of-the-art, twin turbo 3.8-litre V8 direct-injection engine developed by Maserati Powertrain in partnership with Ferrari and built by Ferrari in its world-leading engine construction facility in Maranello.
Maserati’s latest addition to its model range is the Maserati Ghibli – a four-door sports executive sedan and first E-segment model by the Italian luxury brand. By combining breath-taking design with exceptional handling qualities and outstanding performance, the Ghibli appeals to the heart, the head and the soul making the dream of owning a Maserati more accessible. The Ghibli S features a new-generation twin turbo-charged 3.0-litre V6 engine and an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission. With its power output of 410 hp, the Ghibli S races to 100 km/h in 5.0 seconds and reaches a top speed of 285 km/h.
