In collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Labor and Social Development, McDonald's Saudi Arabia created an initiative to express its appreciation to the Kingdom and especially to all those heroes who endeavored and persevered to protect and preserve the health and safety of all. The company distributed over 223,000 free meals and 6,000 coffee cups to healthcare and security heroes, quarantine centers and families affected by the pandemic across the Kingdom.
As part of its CSR program “Share the Goodness”, McDonald’s Saudi Arabia dedicated this initiative as a humble expression of solidarity and commitment to the local community and supported over 32 cities and towns such as: Makkah, Madinah, Taif, Jeddah, Jazan, Najran, Ahad Rufaidah, Khamis Mushait, Abha, Bisha, Al Baha, Gurrayat and Tabuk.
Mr. Mohamed Ali Reza, Deputy General Manager of Reza Food Services Company - McDonald's Western & Southern Region commented: “We greatly appreciate and are proud of the tremendous efforts done by the government and the healthcare heroes in hospitals and quarantine centers during these difficult times. As part of the community, this is a simple gesture to express our gratitude to our nation during the crisis and we are humbled to be able to provide our heroes and support the nation by sharing the goodness with meals that they love and can enjoy.”
McDonald’s Saudi Arabia is grateful to its employees for their dedication and support in serving the communities and made the company’s promise come true. Another purpose of the initiative was to create moments of joy in their day by giving them the chance to enjoy their favorite meals. McDonald’s Saudi Arabia is proud to be able to support the nation and its heroes and serve them anywhere, anytime and in the way that is most convenient and comfortable for them.
