MG Motor brings its first ever pick-up truck – the MG T60 – to Saudi Arabia

 

MG Motor is launching its new MG T60 light pick-up truck in Saudi Arabia, with prices starting from just SAR 51,000*. The Kingdom becomes the first country to enjoy this versatile new model in the GCC, which is the brand’s first entrant in this important sector.

 

The MG T60 has been designed as a reliable and effective partner in the light 1-tonne pick-up category which is dominated by Japanese brands. It is specifically designed to be efficient, hardworking and capable of meeting any professional requirements, while remaining equally effective as the vehicle of choice for individuals with an active personal lifestyle.
 

The design of the British-born brand’s new pick-up is strong, powerful, yet graceful. It is as capable on winding roads as it is across bumpy terrain and travelling up steep inclines, making it great for taking on tough road conditions. Its overall dimensions are 5365mm long, 1900mm wide and 1809mm high, while the all-important cargo bed measures 1485mm long by 1510mm wide makes it a perfect choice for cargo transportation.

 

The twin cab offers plenty of space for up to five occupants. In the front, both driver and passenger benefit from up multi-adjustable seats and air conditioning, with the air conveniently circulated to the rear set passengers via dedicated rear vents for optimum comfort. All trim also come with remote central locking, electric windows, a 4-speaker audio system.

 

The MG T60 is available with a choice of two power trains: a 2.4 litre naturally aspirated petrol engine delivering up to 136 hp and 200 Nm of torque, or an advanced 2.8 turbo diesel unit offering 150 hp and a maximum 360 Nm. A 5-speed manual gearbox and 6-speed manual gearbox are mated to the petrol and diesel variants respectively, while both trims come in either 4x2 and 4x4 configurations. Both variants of MG T60 are offering sufficient power and torque to deliver effortless driving even on challenging roads.

 

Safety was a major consideration in the T60’s development, which has resulted in it being awarded a 5-star ANCAP safety rating Thermoforming technology has been used to improve the strength of the steel panels. Standard on all trims come with dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, EBA, a tyre pressure monitoring system, parking sensors, inner and outer rope hook, cargo bed fender as well as an impressive sidestep.

The arrival of the new MG T60 in Saudi Arabia is latest in a raft of launches from the resurgent British-born automotive brand.
