Miahona inks MoU for water, sewage plant development in Uzbekistan

Miahona Co. signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Uzbekistan Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade as well as Uzsuvtaminot Joint stock Co. (UJSC), according to a statement to Tadawul.

This agreement entails collaboration in developing water and sewage treatment plants in the Fergana Valley and Jizzakh Region under a build-own-operate-transfer (BOOT) and an enhanced operations and maintenance (EOM) models.

This agreement supports Miahona’s growth strategy in international markets while continuing to deliver sustainable water solutions.

Under this development agreement, Miahona will explore opportunities to develop four sewage treatment plants and explore opportunities to undertake five O&M projects for the existing STPs and WTPs in the Fergana and Jizzakh regions.

This agreement shall remain valid for one year or such later date as may be agreed by the parties.

The agreement has no related parties, the statement added.

The related financial impact will be determined at a later stage subsequent to the completion of a due diligence process.
