HE Minister of Transport, Engineer Abdullah bin Abdulrahman Al Muqbel, inaugurates today the 9th edition of Luxury Motor Show (EXCS 9), which taking place at Four Season hotel in Riyadh with the presence of Chairman and members of the National Automotive Committee for car dealers in Saudi Arabia, and the support of the Saudi Motor Federation as well as the strategic partnership with Alahli Bank.
The (EXCS 9) is expected to attract more than 10,000 visitors, including managers of car manufacturers’ regional offices. Exploiting greater awareness and exposure of the show, various car dealers plan to unveil more than 10 new models for the first time in the Middle East.
Chairman of the National Committee for car dealers in Saudi Arabia, Faisal Abo Shoshah, expressed his delight with the continued success of the Luxury Motor Show (EXCS) over the past eight years, and said: "The show is the pride of the organizing company, and stresses the Saudi market need for such a show, which offers a great opportunity for luxury car dealers always close to their clients in a luxurious and sophisticated atmosphere that matches their distinctive cars.”
"The size of Saudi market exceeds the size of Middle East car market by 50%, where Saudi Arabia imports annually more than 650,000 cars worth about SR. 77 billion, with an annual increase of 9.5%, out of which the luxury car segment forms about 18%, according to the latest statistics, and thus making this market the world’s largest market for luxury cars. "
Meanwhile, Abdullah Alshamasi, CEO of EXCS, expressed his gratitude for HE the Minister of Transport for the inauguration of the show, which reflects its importance as a world-class show. "
Alshamasi, as well, expressed his relief for the success of the show in attracting multinational and global car makers whom were very keen to participate in the show, where all show spaces are fully booked.
