Ministry of Culture sets November 2020 as new date for Janadriyah Festival

The Ministry of Culture set November 2020 as the date for the new start of the National Festival of Heritage and Culture "Janadriyah" after taking over the supervision of the festival from the Ministry of National Guard last July.
The Ministry of Culture has started its preparations to offer a distinguished session to complement the successes of the festival in its previous years.
The spokesman of the Ministry of Culture, Abdulkarim Al-Humaid, stressed that the Ministry seeks to develop the cultural content of the festival and provide various activities, programs that reflect the depth of the national heritage, and keep abreast of the G-20 summit, which will be hosted by the Kingdom simultaneously with the opportunities that offer rich Saudi culture to visitors from different countries of the world.
Al-Humaid explained that the Ministry of Culture has started organizing a series of meetings and workshops with experts and intellectuals to discuss ways of developing the festival and enriching it with cultural content that keeps pace with the cultural progress being witnessed by the Kingdom under its Vision 2030, pointing out that these meetings and workshops will continue over the next few months to increase the area of the joint discussion between the Ministry and experts representing different social strata.
It is noteworthy that the next session of the festival will be the first one to be organized by the Ministry of Culture, after 34 previous sessions organized by the Ministry of National Guard starting in 1985.
The festival was a national beacon that reflected the country's heritage and history, and recorded a distinguished presence at the local and international levels, where the festival witnessed over its three decades the visits of the leaders of countries and senior officials and intellectuals from different countries of the world.
