Mobily, a leading provider of innovative communications services, has increased its data center Infrastructure capacity after launching a new data center in the city of Buraidah; this massively enhances the company’s telecommunication and information Space.
The opening of the data centre was attended by Engineer Essam Al Jubair Senior Executive Officer Facilities and Administration, Engineer Mohammed Al-Badrani Acting Senior Executive Officer Network Engineering and Engineer Mohammed Alshammari Acting Executive General Manager Infrastructure Services and Business Solutions Operations and other Mobily’s Senior Management team to ensure that the operation was progressing smoothly according to the planned timetable. The Data Center was designed according to the classification standards of Tier II from the specialized American (UPTIME) Institute to improve continuous operations without any delay by 99.98%.
The launch is aligned to Mobily’s expansion plan and efforts to diversify its technical solutions. The data centre contains the most modern technology and infrastructure to maintain non-stop operations, as well as maintaining the best safety systems and standards in all its buildings.
Data Centres are important in supporting both the public and private sectors, and provide many services such as computing systems, managed services, in addition to disaster prevention solutions and information security.
This comes as a part of the company’s plans for launching number of data centers in different areas across the kingdom such recently opening of Al-Dhahran data center. These data centers allow Mobily to ensure customer satisfaction and diversify its products and services portfolio.
