The Ministry of Education (MoE) seeks to create a system that ensures an effective and efficient method of education for modern times.
Education Minister Ahmed Al-Issa said that to achieve this, the ministry has launched a number of projects.
He said this during the launch on Thursday of a project constructed by the Tatweer Construction Co. at the Nafi bin Jubair School in the Saudi capital. The project launch was attended by ministry officials and other invited guests.
“The projects, totaling 35, include 50 schools which are compatible with the new requirements of the educational environment— from classrooms, laboratories and scientific rooms for learning resources and teaching staff,” he said.
He said that the application of standards and regulations in educational facilities to provide an intelligent and environment-friendly building has been taken into consideration.
He added that sports facilities, entertainment and grassy playgrounds, and shaded squares and courtyards have also been provided.
“Through these projects, a system in schools will be created to serve the educational process well,” he said.
“We also hope that the new system will engender teachers’ efficiency in the performance of their duties in teaching the students,” he said.
He expressed hope that with the new system, students will take advantage of developing their potentials under the guidance of their teachers.
“The new projects have been prepared in accordance with a professional system which reduces the costs and delays in implementation,” he said.
He added that the projects show the determination of the Education Ministry to construct school buildings in accordance with the highest standards and specifications under the directive of the Saudi leadership headed by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman.
