Mohamed Yousuf Naghi Motors, the official importer for BMW Group in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has revealed the sixth generation BMW 7 Series at the EXCS International Luxury Motor Show in Riyadh.
Held on the 20th, October and attended by automotive enthusiasts, trade executives and dignitaries, including the honourable Hathlol Al Hathlol, Minister of Transport, the Kingdom’s introduction to the sophisticated sedan took place as part of Mohamed Yousuf Naghi Motors’ participation at the high-level automotive exhibition and included the reveal of both the 740Li M Sport Kit, as well as the 750Li Excellence Line. Among the other BMW models displayed at the importer’s innovative and expansive stand was the BMW X5 M, the BMW X6 50 M Sport Kit and the BMW i8.
Speaking at the exhibition, Stavros Paraskevaides, Managing Director of Mohamed Yousuf Naghi Motors said: “The BMW 7 series has solidified its position here in Saudi Arabia as the biggest Middle East market for 7 Series sales, and indeed across the globe as an innovative and highly sought-after car. The reveal of this flagship model has been highly anticipated and judging from the positive feedback received here at EXCS, we are confident that this new generation will be extremely well-received among drivers in the Kingdom. There is no better platform than EXCS International Luxury Motor Show than to launch this dynamic and innovative new model.”
Attendees at the event were given an exclusive look at the superior technology and extraordinary levels of comfort and luxury offered to both driver and passengers of the new 7 Series.
For drivers, the new model exudes confidence and power as it features two comprehensively revised engines: the 6 cylinder 740iLi and 8 cylinder 750iLi xDrive - the latter accelerating from 0–100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds at 450 hp, and the 6 cylinder equivalent, offering an impressive 326hp, with a maximum torque of 450 Nm at 1380 rpm. BMW EfficientDynamics, such as the premium vehicle’s lightweight Carbon Core, further enhances the on-road performance of both variants as it ensures that the car is 130kg lighter than its predecessor.
Creating an ideal balance between sports performance and comfort, the vehicle’s advanced chassis technology also allows the driver to adjust the car’s set-up to their preferred requirements. Similarly, the vehicle’s progressive Driver Assistance Systems, including Lane Control Assistance, ensures drivers do not have to change the customary positioning of their hands on the steering wheel in order to undertake on-road manoeuvres.
For both passengers and drivers, a host of new features prove that personalised innovation is as crucial as design and ambience. BMW ConnectedDrive driver assistance features, including the intuitive Touch Command: a 7-inch tablet positioned in the rear of the vehicle, offers passengers a completely new experience in controlling multiple in-car functions. Touch Command also allows rear passengers the ability to control in-car infotainment while comfort features, such as the new BMW 7 Series Vitality Programme, offers luxurious in-seat massage options. A unique Gesture Control function, which offers those inside the vehicle with the option to increase the volume of the radio only by gesturing at the screen, is also one of the new technology features.
Driver and passengers alike can also look forward to the BMW 7 Series’ Sky Lounge, a panorama glass roof welcoming them to enjoy the day or star-filled night sky, as illuminated light patterns provide a luxurious interior light ambience in six colours.
Since its inception in 2007, the EXCS Motor Show has garnered mass appeal in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This year’s exhibition took place between 20 and 22 October, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
