The visit, which took place on Tuesday, April 10 2018, served to highlight the company’s strength in the market, its proud legacy representing the two iconic British brands, and its vital role in contributing to the fulfilment of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
During the visit, Mohamed Yousuf Naghi Motors took the opportunity to affirm its commitment to driving social and economic progress, in line with the country’s ambitious vision. This included an extensive discussion about the critical role that the company can play in supporting women’s empowerment – a key component of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. As one of the most important players in the Kingdom’s automotive sector, Mohamed Yousuf Naghi Motors highlighted its support for the upcoming introduction of female driving, and its commitment to helping empower women both behind the wheel and in other areas and aspects of their lives.

Alongside the UK delegation, a number of notable women participated in the event and helped lead the conversation about their right to drive. Eng. Aseel Alhamad – a board member of the Saudi Arabian Motor Federation in charge of the women motorsports programme and a member of the International Automobile Federation – thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his Crown Prince for giving Saudi women the opportunity to prove themselves, including driving. Saying, “Securing the right to drive will enhance job opportunities for Saudi women in the labour market. The Saudi Arabian Motor Federation in particular is working to help accommodate female drivers through a number of initiatives, and I am looking forward to help facilitate these initiatives.”
