More than 1,000 people grab free Virgin Mobile credit in malls game

More than 1,000 people have grabbed free credit from Virgin Mobile in a game against the clock in leading shopping malls across Saudi Arabia during the Holy Month of Ramadan.

In the game, called ‘Everyone is a Winner’, members of the public were invited to enter an elevator-sized glass wind chamber filled with slips of paper marked with different amounts of Virgin Mobile credit. They then had 15 seconds to catch as many as they could whilst the papers were blown wildly about by the wind.

The game took place in Hayat Mall in Riyadh, Red Sea Mall in Jeddah, and at Al Rashid Mall in Khobar. The competition was free and open to everyone.

“Virgin Mobile prepaid is already a great deal because the more you use the less you pay,” said Karim Benkirane. “The Holy Month is a time for generosity, so we wanted to give people a chance to grab even more value for themselves from Virgin Mobile. This game was a fun way to do that.”

Both Virgin Mobile’s prepaid and postpaid packages have been designed to be fair. The more minutes, texts and data Virgin Mobile prepaid customers use, the less they pay per unit. Postpaid members are not charged for the minutes, texts and data from their packages that they do not use each month; they are charged less if they do not consume their full monthly allowance.
