Mazagan Beach & Golf Resort, North Africa’s leading tourism resort, was recognized in three categories at the 22nd World Travel Awards -- an important event on the tourism industry calendar -- held on 30 June 2015 at the resort itself.
Mazagan has been named Africa’s Leading MICE Hotel and Morocco’s Leading MICE Hotel. The final leg of the event is scheduled to be held on December 12, 2015, also at Mazagan.
The winners were announced in presence of HE Mr. Lahcen Haddad, Minister of Tourism, Mr. Graham Cook, Founder of the World Travel Awards, and Mr. Stephan Killinger, President of Mazagan Beach & Golf Resort.
Receiving the awards, Killinger said: “It is a great honor to be recognized globally for our excellence across several categories. We have been working very hard to enhance the level of service at Mazagan, and we believe our efforts have contributed to making Morocco an ideal destination for visitors from around the Arab region and beyond.”
“We have played a key role over the past year in boosting the number of tourists to Morocco from new markets, especially from the Arab region, particularly GCC countries. The balmy weather and world-class service has put the spotlight on Mazagan as a superior destination in North Africa that shouldn’t be missed,” added Killinger.
WTA has evolved into the most prestigious and comprehensive awards program in travel and tourism, and is recognized worldwide as the hallmark of industry excellence.
“We will continue to raise the bar on our services in family tourism as well as MICE tourism. We are giving priority to new markets, offering them exclusive attractive offers on accommodation and dining options,” concluded Killinger.
Since 1993, the World Travel Award rewards leaders of the global tourism industry through the votes of tourism professionals from 171 countries, in an effort to recognise the very best travel organizations in the world that push the boundaries of excellence and implementing ground-breaking ideas.
