Nas Air, Saudi Arabia's national carrier and The Ritz-Carlton, Riyadh hotel launched "Why Bully?" initiative to reduce the bullying phenomenon in KSA through awareness programs that target the youth. The initiative aims to channel positive and productive energy to minimize bullying across the society.
Nas Air & The Ritz-Carlton, Riyadh hotel have planned a series of joint activities throughout the coming year to raise awareness about bullying amongst youth and contribute to building positive and healthy environment.
The launch ceremony included a number of seminars and workshops attended by a group of specialists who focused on bullying factors that drive people to such behaviors.
The ceremony was held in the presence of Mr. Bandar bin Abdulrahman Al-Muhanna, CEO of NAS Holding, who delivered the opening speech. Professor Dana Dariei, Public Relations Specialist provided integrated information about the phenomenon and the objectives of the "Why Bullying?" campaign. The ceremony was followed by a lecture on "Positive Empowerment" by Mr. Najeeb Al-Zamil, a member of the Shura Council.
Then Mr. Amjad Mneef moderated a workshop entitled "Real Life Examples" where all of Ms. Aida Adnan, Founder and Director of "My Little School" chain of schools, and Dr. Sami Ben Mustapha Sakka, Education Expert and General Supervisor of the Excellence Centres for Training and Educational Supervision and CEO of the Elite Group Skills presented their personal expeirences.
The ceremony also presented a workshop "Bullying on Social Networks" by media personality Hadi al-Shaibani, Fahad Albutairi, Director Professor Langer Owner.
The ceremony concluded with proposed recommendations by Dr. Ibrahim Ziq, UNICEF representative in the Arab Gulf states.
