The third phase of Nitaqat Saudization program will be implemented on Rajab 1 (April 20) with advanced systems to create more jobs for citizens in the private sector, said Labor Minister Adel Fakeih on Thursday.

Addressing students and staff at King Abdulaziz University, he said his ministry was studying along with Interior Ministry prospects of imposing the punishment of forgery on people involved in illegal cover-up business activity.

He said the Nitaqat helped employ 750,000 Saudis in the private until the end of the Hijrah year 1435, showing 15.6% rise in Saudization. He estimated the number of jobseekers among Saudi men and women at 650,000.

Meanwhile, the Passport Department has launched a new Abshir service that allows an employer to change passport number of his expat worker.
